Dear friend,
- Do you want to get started in voice-over or “upgrade” an existing career?
- Are you confused about home studios, how to set them up and which equipment to buy?
- Unclear about how to produce a voice-over demo that will get you work?

Well, I’ve got good news for you! There’s a roadmap, a system, a series of proven, easy-to-follow voice acting secrets that successful voice-over pros know and use in every single audition and in every single booking.
Once you discover these secrets and hold this roadmap in your hands, you will be confident you’re doing the very best you can every time you open the mic. You’ll be well on your way to enjoying the career you’ve always wanted using your voice.
"I flew 8500 miles just to be here and it was worth every inch"
“I took Susan’s teleclass last summer and have been thinking about taking the Bootcamp. I actually had to fly 8,500 miles just to be here and it was worth every inch. I met some fantastic people, the pointers, technical and marketing advice and how to deal with your own fears. It was worth every penny and certainly worth the time and effort to get here.”
Gregg Steinhauser, Hong Kong, China.
Gregg Steinhauser (on the right.) flew 8, 500 miles from his home in Hong Kong just to attend our last bootcamp . Here is is enjoying some post-bootcamp refreshment with Art Rosenbaum (left) . Art will be joining us for his third Bootcamp May 16-18!
There’s never been a better time to get started in voice-over or enhance an existing career
According to a recent “State of The Industry” report on Voices.com, “the future is bright for the voice-over industry. The combination of technological progress, public awareness and celebrity endorsement have elevated voice acting to a new plateau and social status within the broader entertainment industry.”
The demand for voices for business presentations has never been greater
Most job postings on voices.com are for business presentations. And there is more and more work in corporate audio and e-learning as businesses transition from classroom to computer based training to save costs.
More money is being spent on advertising than ever before
Advertising Age reported in 2006 that TV ad spending in the U.S.A. totaled more than 64 billion dollars. And that doesn’t even include radio! Thousands of commercials are being recorded every day and producers tell me they are always looking for new voices.
Email or call Jason Davis at 800-333-8108 x229.
Advertising in Video games is an emerging trend
The use of video games as an advertising medium will grow substantially in the next five years. Worldwide spending on video game advertising will rise from $692 million in 2006 to $1.9 billion in 2011, with half of the spending occurring in the US.
How much can you make in this business?
Goliath Business News reported that high-paying contract jobs with residuals can range from $150,000 or $200,000 a year. Non-union freelance jobs fall between $150 and $500.
“Because of the demo I recorded at your Bootcamp I booked an Industrial for Boeing and received VERY generous compensation! I'm absolutely floored! Thanks soooo much for the Bootcamp!"
Vincent Stancarone, New York, NY
Prices for home studio equipment are dropping
It used to be that you had to invest thousands of dollars if you wanted to build a home studio. Not any more! With the latest technology, you can set up a great sounding studio and audition from home for less than $200. And that means you can do voice-over from anywhere.
But the market has changed. To succeed in the new virtual world of voice-over, you must know how to stand out from the crowd and market yourself effectively.
That’s why I’ve put together this unprecedented 3-Day voice-over event with these special guests
Casting Director DIANA BOYLSTON
Diana Boylston, casting director for voice-over, film and TV:
Credits include: The Big Easy TV series on USA Today, Any Day Now on Lifetime TV, projects for American Movie Classics, and various feature films and commercials. Winner of the prestigious Big Easy musical award for "Always Patsy Cline," Diana is also an accomplished actress, voice-over artist and singer with 12 films to her credit. A gifted coach who is especially sensitive to the needs of actors, Diana brings a unique perspective to casting from both sides of the microphone. Based in New Orleans and active in the reconstruction of her great city, Diana says she is always looking for new voices. You'll have ample opportunity to read for her during the Bootcamp.
Adriana Davis, Producer, voice-over for corporate audio and documentaries
Corporate audio production is a multi-billion-dollar industry, but few people know about this mysterious and lucrative world. Crack the code and you can work steadily doing non-broadcast industrials for corporations, long form narrations and documentaries for film and television. My guest Adriana Davis of d-Squared Media is an award winning producer of industrials and documentaries. Adriana has created two documentaries, "The Life of Frank Iny: A Granddaughter's Journey" and "The Last Jews of Baghdad: End of an Exile, Beginning of a Journey" that have been featured at international film festivals and on public television. She produces corporate videos, promotional packages, commercials and radio programming; You’ll read for Adriana on mic and learn special techniques for complicated technical copy. Plus, she’ll share her tips for marketing yourself to producers of corporate industrials and documentaries. Past attendees say this one session alone is worth the price of admission.
Alan Sklar: voice-over for books on tape
Alan Sklar has been a freelance voice actor for over fifteen years, narrating everything from audiobooks and documentaries to thousands of corporate and medical video projects and commercials. If you see a :15 TV spot with a scary deep voiced announcer selling a new murder mystery, ("available wherever books are sold") it's probably A.Sklar. He was also employed for over three years as a promo announcer at WPIX-TV (Channel 11) in NYC. Alan has been recruited to narrate over 70 audiobooks, among them, "A Civil Action" by Jonathan Harr, "Black Hawk Down" by Mark Bowden. Alan’s entertaining presentation at my Bootcamp is always a crowd pleaser. He’ll work with you on your narration style and tell you exactly how to succeed as a narrator in audio publishing.
“The 2008 Voice-over Bootcamp” will help you eliminate your greatest voice-over frustrations, hone your skills and grow your business to undreamed of heights in 2008. You’ll get everything you need to leapfrog ahead of the competition
“Even if you are considering a voice over career, you should make your first priority to sign up for one of Susan's Voiceover Bootcamps. And at the end of three days, you will have the confidence and you will know without a doubt if you are ready to be a voiceover artist. A career in voiceovers could not start on a more solid, sure, and tested path than the one Susan provides you.”

Learn the secrets of Successful auditions. The days of auditioning “live” for a casting director or ad agency are just about gone. Most auditions will come to you over the internet. That’s both good news and bad. Good news because it’s really convenient to audition from home and there are more opportunities than ever. But bad news because you wont have a director. People tell me they find themselves recording 10, 20, 30 takes of an audition script but nothing seems to change. By the 37th take they’re frustrated and depressed because they can’t get their voice to do what they want. That’s not fun. Its torture!
My guests and I will make absolutely sure you know exactly how to direct yourself when you’re “flying blind” in your home studio. This will be a hands on workshop with a strong focus on building your voice-over skills.
Newcomers and even working pros will benefit as we put you through the paces and fine-tune your skills.
Discover your “signature sound” - One of the biggest mistakes I see voice talent making is trying to be someone they’re not. It’s a losing strategy. However, you may be surprised to learn that you already have your signature sound. You just need an experienced set of “outside ears” to help you recognize it and hone it to perfection. That’s where my guests and I come in.
Get the latest on Home Studios: We’ll help you get up to speed with all your home recording needs…even if you’re a total klutz with technology.
Email or call Jason Davis at 800-333-8108 x229.
Discover how to be in the top 1% - I’ve given a lot of thought to this lately and I’ll be revealing a new set of breakthrough strategies that will help you make it to the top.
Make clients fall in love with your voice. We’ll train you to think like the advertiser so a love affair is almost inevitable. You’ll learn how to form an unbreakable bond so you can develop lasting relationships with your clients to be the voice they rely on and call again and again and again.
"I came to this course from Tokyo, Japan, and I found it well worth the time. I learned things that I never knew about voice-over. How to find your signature sound, how to build a home studio, how to figure out what the back story is behind something that you are narrating or doing a voice-over for. This is a great course; Susan is a great teacher, and everybody else that she brought in as support – excellent jobs! I’d come back again, it’s a long way, but I’d do it."
-Doug Jackson: Tokyo, Japan
Boost Your Confidence - A lack of confidence is something a producer or client can almost smell. You can hear it in the voice. Yet few people know how to boost their confidence behind the mic when faced with difficult or unfamiliar copy. Whether you’re a beginner or a working pro, you’ll discover how to face every piece of copy with confidence because you know you’re getting it right.
My newly updated 2008 Million Dollar Marketing Blueprint: If you’ve ever taken any of my programs before, you know I went from being a struggling DJ with a part time job as a telemarketer selling deodorant crystals to funeral homes, to making millions in voice-over. With virtual agents and home studios, there’s never been a better time to get into voice-over. But things are changing fast. Yesterday’s marketing model just won’t cut it in 2008. I’ll clue you in on all the latest so you can have a profitable and enjoyable career using your voice.
WELL WORTH THE INVESTMENT!
"I’m a graduate student and this was an investment for me and it was well worth the investment. I got a lot of information and a lot of hands on-experience and feedback. So, for someone out there who’s unsure about whether or not to invest the money in this workshop, I would say do it! If you are serious, do it because you are going to get experience, feedback, and lots of information about how to proceed"
-Katrina Scott: Jersey City, NJ
Record a fully produced spot. We won’t have time to do a full demo, but you will record one spot with our direction, just like you would in the recording studio. You can complete your demo later or use this professionally produced sample to test the waters. While we can’t guarantee anything, some graduates have gotten booked for great jobs right out of the gate with the spot they recorded at one of my Bootcamps.
Email or call Jason Davis at 800-333-8108 x229.
WARNING: My updated 2008 Voice-over Bootcamp is not for everyone. DO NOT register for this Bootcamp if you are:
- Not willing to be gently prodded out of your comfort zone so you can break old habit patterns to achieve your voice-over dreams and goals
- Not willing to share your breakthroughs and insights with others
- A dreamer, not a do-er
- Someone who will hog the limelight and disrupt the class
- A nay-sayer or a downer
- Someone who stubbornly clings to old, outdated ideas about success
But if you want our undivided personal attention and coaching in an exclusive, small group environment, if you are an action-oriented, forward thinking, open minded and fun-loving person, if you share our passion for exploring the creative potential of your voice, if you sincerely want to have a successful voice-over business, then we invite you aboard
You and I both know that there are big bucks to be made in the voice-over business. One of my students just told me she made $2,000 on her first job doing a medical narration. Others have reported big pay days doing E-Learning and corporate narrations. One of my grads is even outsourcing his voice to India! Your results may vary but…
A modest voice-over job you book today can mean astounding profits tomorrow
A few years ago, I did a non-broadcast job for a large Fortune 100 company. The job paid about $350. But recently I was shocked when I looked at my records and realized that since that time, I’ve done over $1 million 100 thousand dollars in repeat business with that same client and I’m still doing voice-overs for them today!
And this wasn’t a fluke.
My voice-over production company serves over 200 clients from around the world. These aren’t just mom and pop shops. Some of them are high five figure annual accounts. And we continue to grow, year after year, despite the competition and the economic down turn.
You might hit the jackpot or you might start small, but the truth remains, the potential lifetime value of a voice-over client is huge if you do a good job and they keep coming back for more. You’ll learn not only how to get new clients, but also how to keep them once you do.
Unlike many of the other voice-over teachers out there today, I am not a freelancer with a day job. I am a voice-over entrepreneur who has made millions in the business and have over 20 years of know how to share with you.
My greatest pleasure comes from hearing the success stories of the people I’ve trained. At the end of the line, we are what we give, what we share. And my greatest pleasure comes from hearing your success stories.
So, what is the updated 2008 Voice-over Bootcamp worth to you?
With everything you’ll be taking away from this 3-day recording studio event, with all the personal attention you’ll be getting and because I might not be offering a Bootcamp like this at this price with these guests again, I could priced this exclusive Bootcamp at $10,000 or more and you could still justify the investment as business start up costs.
There are only 24 seats available for this Bootcamp and every single Bootcamp I have offered recently has sold out well in advance. YOU MUST ACT NOW
Email or call Jason Davis at 800-333-8108 x229.
But I want to make this easy for you and I don’t want you to be mad at me or feel the pain of regret because you missed out. This really is a hot ticket item and because the demand is so great, I could easily offer this Bootcamp for thousands of dollars more than we do and still sell out. But May 16th is just around the corner and I want to make this a no-brainer for you to take fast action now so you don’t keep postponing something we both know you’ve been wanting to do for a long, long time.
That’s why your investment in the 2008 Voice-over Bootcamp is only $2497 (or 4 monthly payments of only $674.25). That’s the kind of money you can easily make from a corporate narration or two. And (depending on your tax picture) a good portion of that investment may be tax deductible. Plus, you’ll get to enjoy a fabulous Spring vacation in The Big Apple!
One more thing. It’s important.
Attendance is strictly limited to only 24 people and every one of our recent bootcamps has sold out. If you are person number 25, I’m sorry to say we’ll have to turn you away, and I don’t want to have to do that. You must act now.

Here’s what others had to say:
"It included so many things. It was a voice acting course, it was a life 101 course....and I didn’t want it to end! I’m really excited, it’s wonderful!" Deborah Sherman, Los Angeles, CA
"I really enjoyed the information I got from Susan. She is very hands on! She has the experience from her career and a real knack in bringing out the best in you. I had some experience when I came here but I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and try some thing different and she helped me do just that." Sylvia Ewing, Chicago, IL
"I dabbled with this industry well over 10 years ago and this was a great opportunity to fill a void. The past 3 days have been fantastic. It was definitely the missing link that I needed in my life and my career to take everything to the next level. It’s definitely worth while and I’m so glad I finally made the decision to go." Dan Ranck, Lancaster, PA
"The Bootcamp was a lot of fun. Not only fun, but I learned a lot. They started from the beginning of the business to getting your voice-over done. It was a really entertaining experience as well as informative and I made a lot of good contacts. If you’re interested in Voice-over, this is the place to be!" Fernando Andrade, Clifton, NJ
"First of all it’s a lot of fun! And second of all there’s a great roadmap that Susan provides you with to help you embark upon your career. It was a great experience as far as marketing advice is concerned and helping with the internal struggles to become better." Romal Bullock,
Orange, NJ
"If you are considering a voiceover career, you should make your first priority to sign up for one of Susan's Voiceover Bootcamps. In three days you not only learn the ins and outs of the business, but Susan and her guests share with you literally decades of experience they've gathered, the lessons they learned, the mistakes to avoid, and the attitude you need not only to be a success, but to thrive in the businesses. All your questions: from joining a union, to creating a demo, to marketing your talents, to home studios. They're all answered. And at the end of three days, you will have the confidence and you will know without a doubt if you are ready to be a voiceover artist. A career in voiceovers could not start on a more solid, sure, and tested path than the one Susan provides you." -Roger Dornbierer, Dunellen, NJ
"Thank you again for a great weekend. I can tell you, Friday afternoon I was getting a little (okay a lot) discouraged. I was hoarse, I wasn't seeming to get what you were saying, and was wondering if this had all been a mistake. It all came together. I was able to exercise some of the creative chops I haven't used in years and years and left feeling good about continuing down this path. The environment you and Diana (and the class) created made me comfortable enough to let go in some of the acting exercises in a way I won't usually. So, I left very happy, and stayed that way all the way home. "- Rich Kolker, Ashburn, Va
“My entire problem in getting active in voice-over or voice imaging has been a failure to be able to find my voice and Susan helped me do that. She was a great, great help to me. I feel like I've found my voice now, I'm more confident and ready to go out there and tackle this industry and looking forward to a great, successful future. I would recommend this course to anyone, novice, professional or semi-professional.” Wade Holloway, Hays, NC
“This Bootcamp has been an incredible experience for me. I was hesitant to come but I'm so glad I did. It's worth every penny that I spent on it. It gave me confidence in myself. I've learned that by just by being me I can be successful and this woman, Susan has given me that. The camaraderie that I've experience during this course has been incredible and I can't thank Susan and her organization enough.” Ken Goldberg , Del Ray Beach, FL
