INSTRUCTIONS
FOR EVALUATING YOUR VOICE
© copyright 2003, The Great Voice
Company | All Rights Reserved.
1. Choose your evaluators. You will need at least 3 for
an objective evaluation. Trusted business colleagues with voice mail are
best. Do not choose family members, or a spouse.
2. Forward them this web page. Ask them
to listen to the message you will be sending and to fill out the evaluation
forms and send them back to you.
3. Call each evaluator and leave two messages.
In the first you will read the evaluation script below. In the second
you will ad lib for about 20 seconds, as if leaving a business-oriented
voice mail.
4. Thank your evaluators for their help.
5. Review the evaluation sheets. Make special
note of any feedback, positive or negative, that was mentioned by more
than one person.
Compare this objective feedback with your feelings about your own speaking
voice. Are you on or off target about yourself?
6. Create a personal voice improvement plan based
on the feedback you received. See my VoiceShaping
course for help.
