Dear Friend,
In the world of voice-over, especially in animation, women are up
against a whole different set of demands than men. Yet it is possible
to crack the code and have a lucrative and incredibly
enjoyable career behind the mic as a versatile and creative voice
talent.
Animation voice skills are not just for cartoons anymore. You need
them for CD-Roms, audio books and commercials.
In this exclusive weekend event, open to only 12 lucky women (and
almost sold out), FOUR MASTERS guide you through this unique weekend,
focusing on the specific needs of women doing character voices for
Animation, CD-ROM, Audiobooks, and Commercials.
When Pat did a Women in Animation here in NYC a few months ago it
sold out in hours! I finally convinced him to bring this exciting
program back and to make it even better with more personal attention
and more time with a casting director.
He said Okay but with one caveat. Only 12 lucky
women can attend. Why? Because this will be an intensive hands on
workshop and Pat and his special guests insist on giving every women
who attends 100% of their undivided attention.
Guess who grabbed the first space?
Me! And several of the other women who attended the first event
signed up in advance. They couldnt wait to come back for more.
So that means there are only a few spaces left and they are going
to FLY out the door. You must act fast.
"Ive
always shown the most growth in my career when Ive worked
with brilliant, talented and successful people. Pats Women
in Animation event gives me the chance to work with the
most amazing voices in the business. I know I will learn how
to maximize my talents, hone my strengths, and grow as a performer.
I will learn how to maximize my auditions, approach the copy,
and how to stand out from the crowd. But I will also walk away
with the most unexpected, amazing gold-nuggets of
wisdom just by surrounding myself with such talented
and successful people. Brilliant things happen when you work
with brilliant people."

"My name is Cindy Shoemaker. I was an
attendee at the Women in Animation Event and I must say it was
the GREATEST class that I have attended in years. To begin
with, Pat Fraley has a way of knowing what artistic women need.
He makes everyone feel comfortable in the studio and brings
together a group of women actors, students and teachers
that work well together and bring out the best in one another.
Hillary Huber is a very talented actor. She has a lot of insightful
information about how women can get ahead in the industry.
She also does a nice job of keeping Pat on track and on
time. Thank you again to Pat Fraley and Hillary Huber."
Sincerely,
Cindy Shoemaker |
Here are your instructors for this exciting event:
PATRICK FRALEY has created voices for over 4,000
characters, placing him among the top ten performers of all time
to be cast in animation. Patrick recently supplied character voices
for the Disney feature animated film, The Wild, and performs the
voice of Buzz Lightyear for all applications past the movie. When
Nancy Cartwright (The voice of Bart on the Simpsons) wants private
lessons, she seeks out Pat. He has taught character voice for 33
years, and his is the only character voice curriculum accredited
at the university level.
Patrick will guide your talents through creating and developing
evocative, unique characters.

Pat teaching the Women in Animation event in LA
HILLARY HUBER is one of the most successful female voice-over
performers in Los Angeles. Hillary also applies her formidable character
voice abilities to audiobooks. Her most recent performance of the
audiobook, The Light In The Piazza, prompted author
Elizabeth Spencer to comment, "I don't know how she does it.
I want her to do all my books. Hillary is presently recording
the first of six dialogue and character rich books for Blackstone
Audio. Hillary is in charge of teaching you how to manipulate your
voice, advance your versatility and separate characters
critical to Animation, CD-ROM, and Audiobook work.
LESLIE ZASLOWER: Leslie
Zaslower, director of Talent and Casting at Nickelodeon in NY, will
spend an entire afternoon with us, sharing tips, secrets and directing
talent in the booth, just like she does for real cartoons. Previously,
Leslie was an agent at CESD Talent Agency, so she knows the territory!
ASHLEY ALBERT is the
busiest female voice talent in New York, lending her characterizations
to General Mills, Nickelodeon and MTV, as well as supplying voices
for animated TV projects such as Daria, The Wrong Coast, The Balloonatics
and Snappy Larry. She will join us for a special Q &A session.
"Pat
Fraley's "Women in Animation" is an experience you
don't want to miss. Whether you are professionally paid for
your animation work or looking to make a dream come true, there
is something in this class for you. Learn the key archetypes,
try out a new character, practice and record as you go
it doesn't get any better than this. And all along the way,
you'll get the professional, careful, and uplifting direction
from some of the industry's top leaders in animated VO today."

Now, I bet youre thinking that such an exclusive, limited
attendance, closed door session with three of the greatest animation
voice-over teachers today is going to be pretty pricey, and youre
right.
One TV animated episode can net you over two thousand
dollars with residuals. One four-hour session doing ADR (automatic
dialogue replacement) on a feature length project at a company like
Disney pays about $6,000-$15,000 after they sell the DVD (voice
talent gets a cut of the producer's gross by union contract). Knowing
whats possible, and because of the high caliber of the instructors,
we could easily price this rare event for somewhere in the neighborhood
of $3,000-$4,000 for the weekend training.
We COULD get that kind of money for this weekend and at that price,
it would sell out just as fast. Pat and his guest instructors are
that good. But it wouldnt be fair to some of the newer voice
talent, who are just as passionate about animation as the working
pros, but are not yet making the kind of money in the business to
justify that kind of investment. I convinced Pat to come for less,
a lot less.
So, Im pleased to say, your investment for this exciting,
once-in-a-lifetime weekend is only 4
installment payments of $550 in or one
single payment now of $1,995 (save $205!).
Youll need to make a fast decision on this. Click
here now to enroll.
Warmly,
Susan Berkley
"It was a great opportunity to meet some
women who are successful in the field of animation and to be
directed by them. I think expanding the workshop to at least
2 days would be a good idea. Not only did we get a chance to
learn from them through direction, they freely shared information
about how to be a businesswoman in this craft, and protect ourselves.
I have never been to a workshop where that was intelligently
discussed in an organized fashion. The students were also a
fascinating mix, all skilled and very talented. All serious
about their work."

P.S. This is not a weekend for dilettantes or dabblers. Its for
serious beginners and working professionals who want training from
the best and who know where mastering cartoon and character voices
can take them. If thats you, I urge you to jump on this. With
only a few available spaces, this workshop will be a fast sell-out.
Click
here now to grab your seat or call my office at 201-541-8595
during east coast business hours.
P.P.S. If youre a guy, Im sorry but I cant help
you here. Pat means it when he says this is for women only. Yes,
I know hes a man. But hell be the only male in this
seminar. And hes happily married so get your mind out of the
gutter. Look for a brand-new animation CD set for women AND men
coming from Pat soon.
P.P.S When all the seats are sold, I can put your name on a waiting
list but I can't guarantee that I can get you in. In any case, its
worth a try. Call my office at 201-541-8595 now for registration
status.
