How The Pros Do It

How The Pros Do It

Recently I went to Birdland, a top NY jazz club, to watch a show by a friend of mine, the singer Alexis Cole. (www.alexiscole.com)

She and her trio knocked it out of the park and as she sang and scatted her heart out, I was struck by how hard musicians work to perfect their craft. The countless hours of practice, the focus, the pure unadulterated love of the music.

I love to study greatness because as they say, success leaves tracks.

And one of the things that keeps coming up again and again when I study successful people is the power of practice. Practice builds confidence and momentum and is a powerful force you can harness on your way to the top.

So how do you practice your voice over skills? Do you have a formal practice program or do you practice a little bit here and a little bit there, whenever the mood strikes you.

In this week’s Inside Voice Over video training blog I explore the best way to practice with lessons from the pros to grow your voice over skills so you can enjoy the magic of momentum and accelerate the learning curve.

  2. Yes Susan…this is right on point…I wish I had known about you when I was first starting out…I had to learn the hard way..trial and error on my own…and I am still open to learn…that’s the only way to improve.
