How to keep your voice over voice healthy

How to keep your voice over voice healthy

The #1 questions people ask this time of year is: how do I keep my voice healthy during cold and flu season? What do I do if I have a recording session and I get a cold?

I’ll answer the last question first.

Rather than submitting sub-standard work where your voice is hoarse and sniffly, it’s best to be honest with the client and let them know you’re sick. If you’ve been booked for a job, they’ll probably reschedule when you’re feeling better.

(If they can’t wait and have to use someone else, they’ll appreciate your honesty and call you for another opportunity in the future-if you stay in touch)

Of course, the best thing is not to get sick in the first place and in this week’s Inside Voice Over video training, I share My Top 5 Strategies For A Healthy Voice.
