Your voice on audio books?

Your voice on audio books?

More than 6 million of them are sold every year.

Producers and publishers are always looking for good talent to record them.

But being a successful audio book narrator takes a lot more than a pleasant reading voice.

A good narrator must become the story.

Audio book producers say they can tell how seasoned you are within 30 seconds of hearing your demo.

In this fascinating work-from-home voice over niche, no two recording days are alike.

And if you do your job well, you’ll be loved and appreciated by millions of audio book fans.

Sound interesting?

I’ve identified 14 niche markets and in today’s video training I give you an overview of the Audio Book Niche.

Check it out below This might be the voice over opportunity you’ve been looking for!

And after you watch the video I want to know your thoughts, whether you’re just starting out or you’ve at this awhile. Does the audio book niche resonate for you? If not, what else are you thinking about?

  1. I have been told over and over I should be doing voice work of some sort for years. I just do not have the money to pursue it. I actually have fun with voice and voice mail and readings and sales presentations. I feel I could be good at audio books as well. I just need to work from home and would spend the time if an opportunity cae along. Any Ideas?
Thanks and have a great day

  2. Think that i am starter, and do not have that much of a voice talent, do you have a training track for “what i need to do in order to record a stunning audio book”?
i want to know the following
    1. how to set a home studio
    2. how to train my voice? (already following Roger love’s course)
    3. how to record a book and be the best?
    4. how to sell myself for companies who need me?

I appreciate your communication with me Susan.

  3. AWESOME helpful discussion of audio book demos. You answered practically all my questions. Would like to see your sessions on Go to Meeting software.

  4. Hi Susan,
Your video is very interesting and encouraging. Thank you.

I love the idea of getting into the audio niche. I’m a voracious reader and a speech and acting teacher. I think I can do this!

  5. I am an audiobook narrator and I’ve been at it for a little over a year. Your video is spot on. One must be able to commit to the time it takes to narrate and edit. I have a full time job and I’m a single parent so I narrate part time to supplement my income. I hope to one day narrate audiobooks full time.

  6. When I decided to use my voice for voiceovers,it was because I had been trained in theatre. We were taught how to change our voices to create believable characters. Audio books appealed to me, but I have no idea how to proceed. It looks as though you may have the key to success! I will proceed with the offer you have for an evaluation.
